A Romantic Editorial at Wilton Castle, Ireland

Wilton Castle feels like something out of a storybook.

Set in the Irish countryside, the castle’s weathered stone walls, grand architecture, and lush grounds created the perfect backdrop for this romantic editorial captured during a photography retreat in Ireland. This shoot blended old-world elegance with soft, painterly florals and a timeless love story — the kind of setting that feels both cinematic and deeply intimate.

This retreat was thoughtfully planned in collaboration with Natalie of Heart Wanderers / Roses and Reeds, bringing together creatives from around the world to create, connect, and document beauty in an iconic Irish setting.

An Editorial Wedding Vision at Wilton Castle

Wilton Castle’s grounds offered endless inspiration — sweeping lawns, historic stone facades, and a quiet sense of grandeur that didn’t feel overpowering. We designed an editorial tablescape on the lawn that felt refined yet organic, pairing soft linens, romantic florals, and classic place settings with the castle rising behind it.

The palette leaned romantic and muted — blush, soft blue, cream, and natural greens — allowing the florals to feel garden-inspired and effortless, as if they naturally belonged to the space.

Every detail was designed to feel intentional but unfussy, honoring the historic setting while keeping the overall vision modern and romantic.

Joseph & Mariya

Joseph and Mariya brought such a calm, elegant presence to this shoot. Their connection felt quiet and genuine, which translated beautifully on camera. The way they moved together — relaxed, natural, and unforced — allowed the imagery to feel timeless rather than styled.

Against the backdrop of the castle and vintage car, their portraits felt cinematic yet intimate, balancing editorial drama with softness and romance.

A Collaboration Rooted in Creativity

This shoot was part of a photography retreat designed to encourage creative exploration, collaboration, and storytelling. I was honored to co-plan this experience alongside Natalie of Heart Wanderers / Roses and Reeds, contributing both planning support and floral design for the editorial.

Creating in a place like Wilton Castle is a reminder of why destination work is so special — history, artistry, and human connection all layered together in one place.

For couples dreaming of a wedding or elopement in Ireland, Wilton Castle offers a setting that feels rich with story, romance, and timeless beauty.
