The vision was inspired by classic European elopements — effortless, intimate, and rooted in place — allowing Venice itself to lead the story.

An Intimate Elopement at Ca’ Sagredo Hotel

One of the most iconic backdrops for this editorial was Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, a historic palazzo overlooking the Grand Canal. With its frescoed walls, ornate furniture, and rich textures, the space felt like stepping into a living painting.

The interior portraits were intentionally moody and refined, pairing soft movement in the dress with sculptural florals and dramatic light. The contrast between the quiet intimacy indoors and the lively energy of Venice outside created a layered, editorial feel that balanced romance with realism.

Stephano and Denise brought a timeless elegance to the shoot — refined yet relaxed, romantic without feeling staged. Their connection felt natural and unforced, which allowed the imagery to feel like a real elopement unfolding rather than a styled moment.

I designed the florals to feel classic, romantic, and slightly undone — drawing inspiration from Venetian art, historic interiors, and the city’s warm, aged palette. Soft blooms in layered tones added texture and richness without overpowering the architecture or setting.

The goal was always enhancement, not distraction — florals that felt like they belonged naturally within Venice’s centuries-old beauty.
