Lago di Braies in October is magical. Our morning here included soft fog over the lake and dramatic Dolomite peaks rising in the distance. It is one of my favorite locations in the Dolomites and one of the most romantic places in Italy for an elopement or destination wedding.

During my Dolomites Content Retreat, we created an intimate, editorial elopement scene at Lago di Braies designed to feel timeless, elevated, and deeply connected to the landscape. Our amazing models Eric and Asli brought a quiet, effortless energy to the day, allowing the setting and styling to speak for itself.

The ceremony was kept simple and intentional with lush, organic florals framing the dock, soft movement, and a muted autumn palette that complemented the natural surroundings without overpowering them. One of the most iconic moments took place on the lake itself, with a wooden rowboat adorned in cascading florals, creating a cinematic, old-world feel that Lago di Braies is known for.

This shoot was designed to inspire photographers, planners, and couples dreaming of a Lago di Braies elopement or Dolomites destination wedding. I’m a firm believer that an intimate celebration in the mountains can feel both adventurous and quietly luxurious.
