There’s something about designing florals at a winery that feels especially inspiring.

This editorial took place at Viansa Winery in Napa Valley as part of a workshop hosted by Ardently Collective, and I was brought on to design the florals for the shoot. Rolling vineyards, warm California light, and a setting rooted in food, wine, and celebration made this experience feel particularly special — especially as someone who genuinely loves wine and the slower, more intentional pace that Napa invites.

Floral Design Inspired by Wine Country

For this shoot, I wanted the florals to feel lush, garden-inspired, and completely at home in the vineyard setting. The designs leaned into soft movement, layered textures, and a natural color palette that complemented the surrounding greens and golden hills.

Ceremony florals were designed to feel elevated yet organic — structured enough to frame the space, but loose and romantic in movement. For the table design, the florals flowed naturally along the length of the table, blending seamlessly with fruit accents, layered place settings, and the relaxed elegance that wine country does so well.

Everything was meant to feel abundant but unfussy — like something you might stumble upon during a long afternoon spent lingering over good wine and conversation.

Why Winery Weddings Will Always Have My Heart

Designing florals at Viansa was a reminder of why winery weddings are so special. There’s an inherent sense of celebration built into the landscape — vineyards stretching into the distance, thoughtful architecture, and spaces designed for gathering.

Napa has a way of making everything feel intentional yet relaxed, refined but never stiff. Being able to create florals in that environment felt like the perfect blend of artistry and atmosphere.

This shoot was such a beautiful example of how florals can enhance an already-stunning location without overpowering it — letting the setting, the light, and the details work together in harmony.
